Train & Place for Hospitality & Tourism
The Ministry Of Human Resources through Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad is implementing the Train And Place Scheme to retrain graduates and retrenched workers seeking employment for the following purposes:
(i) to assist in job placements;
(ii) to provide skills upgrading; and
(iii) to enhance employability.
The implementation of this scheme is based on the train and place concept whereby graduates and retrenched workers seeking employment are trained on specific skills based on available job vacancies or required by employers with the job placements.
Ethos Connect International Consulting Sdn Bhd is appointed as the training provider and partner to spearhead the scheme for hospitality and tourism industry in Sarawak. The training curriculums are available for front office, food & beverage and rooms operations and are scheduled on half day training sessions over 4 months duration completing end of October 2009. After the successful completion of the training modules, trainees will be provided with employment opportunities in leading international and local hotels across Sarawak in the cities of Kuching, Miri and Sibu Town.
The Ministry of Human Resources through Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad offers eligible candidates the chance to get re-trained, change their careers and secured employment opportunities. Candidates are also offered a monthly allowance of up to RM800 and accommodation facilities.
